See Jack Harlow make his acting debut…

Considering the original is literally the perfect film, the reason why the world needs a White Men Can’t Jump reboot is a question deserving of some serious contemplation. But whatever, like it or not it’s happening, and to be fair, the trailer actually looks…ok?

If you haven’t seen it, the OG 1992 film tells the story of two basketballers, Billy and Sidney, who team up and hustle their way around LA as an unlikely duo. Starring Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes in the lead roles, as well as Rosie Perez giving a truly noteworthy performance as Billy’s fiery girlfriend, the movie served up iconic looks, quotable moments and generally flawless energy.

Back in February, we were given a first look at the upcoming reboot, which will see the rapper make his first feature-length acting debut in the role of Billy, opposite Sinqua Walls as Sidney.

Directed by Charles “Calmatic” Kidd II and written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall, the movie also stars Lance Reddick (The Wire, John Wick), Teyana Taylor, Laura Harrier and Vince Staples, with the movie reportedly dedicated to Reddick, who passed away last month.

White Men Can’t Jump will premiere on May 19th on Hulu. Catch the trailer below.
