We always thought it was a little odd that Wu-Tang Clan got booked to play at the ginormous Allphones Arena, and now the news we were expecting has been confirmed: The legends will be performing at the smaller (yet sizeable) venue of Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park.

The news was confirmed this afternoon by promoters Beyond The Valley, who stated that there was a “a stream of comments regarding the remoteness of the previous venue.” Jesus Christ, ‘remoteness’? Have any of these humans ever caught a train before? It’s Homebush, not Wagga Wagga. Anyway, we’re happy with the venue change as it will provide a slightly more intimate show, although it’s a still size up from Wu-Tang’s last two tours at The Enmore Theatre.

All tickets purchased for Allphones Arena will be valid for the new location, while Beyond The Valley are also saying that the show is close to selling out. The confirmed members of the East Coast clique set to appear onstage are RZA, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Mastah Killah, and DJ Mathematics. There’s the notable exception of Method Man, so maybe you can count out hearing ‘M.E.T.H.O.D. Man’. Ivan Ooze will be taking up support duties.
