Watch out America, Australia is coming in hot.

Fresh off convincing wins against formidable French and Serbian teams, Australia’s own ballers in The Boomers have gotten off to an unprecedented Olympic start – it’s the first time that Australia have entered the Games with back-to-back wins. In red hot form, The Boomers are now up against their biggest challenge to date: Team USA.

It’s easy to write off Australia against the long-time powerhouse that is the United States, but let’s check the scenario: The Boomers came off a convincing 21 point win over France, who hold NBA stalwarts like Boris Diaw and Tony Parker, ex-husband of everyone’s favourite Desperate Housewife, Eva Longoria. And let’s be honest, being married to Eva Longaria probably gives you superpowers. The Boomers also defeated Serbia for the first time in the Olympics’ long history.

Andrew Bogut – who entered camp injured – has found a fountain of youth playing some of his best ball this year. Patty Mills has been deadly from all over the floor, and the true blue legend Matthew Delavadova is playing so well that local GOAT Andrew Gaze said that his recent $39 million dollar deal with the Milwaukee Bucks now looks like a steal. Also look a mate of LWA, Chris Goulding to come off the bench and nail some big treys! Still, with former MVP Kevin Durant and co. on Team USA, this will be no easy feat. Still, who knows what will happen on the Olympic court on such a global platform?

You can watch Australia in action against The United States tomorrow from 8:00am on Channel 7, so cheer on your television screen before you head to work and once again when you get to the office. If you’re not convinced yet, just look at this patriotic promotional artwork below and bathe in green and gold confetti. Go team!
