Aussie hero Jimmy Barnes will be joining longtime supporters of AFL, The Black Eyed Peas in entertaining fans at this years grand final.
You do have to wonder if serial footy grand final performer, Jimmy Barnes, was even remotely shocked to get a call from the AFL this year. The man is as solid as can be when it comes to performing prior to a sporting event. Sure, he’s not going to be blowing anyones mind with a superbowl-level display of entertainment, but we can guarantee you’ll be getting a serving of Aussie rock just as it’s meant to be – sweaty and shouty.
Interestingly, the AFL have also included American hip-hop/pop group The Black Eyed Peas, who have just re-emerged as a Fergie-less outfit with some new tunes in their signature style of easy-listening, political, rap (though no one has really seemed to notice). It’s a weird mix, but who’s to say it won’t work… Find out for yourself on September 29th when it all goes down.
