In 1994 years ago, shit got cold…

The coldest, in fact. With temperatures plummeting to the kind of levels that you experience on mountains in just about every continent other than Australia. The mercury hit minus 23 in the early hours of June 29th of 1994 at Charlotte’s Pass, marking the coldest ever temp recorded Down Under (outside of a deep freeze).

’94 also marked the beginning of Aussie’s love affair with snowboarding with the first Snowboard Park at Perisher, featuring a half-pipe, a wave-wall and snow-covered car bodies attracting some of the world’s best snowboarders to our resorts.

In celebration of this momentous day (and also cos why the fuck not), longtime collaborators Burton and Pirate Life have dropped a brand new drink: the Minus 23 Alcoholic Lemonade. This canned delight is “a nostalgic blue raspberry alcoholic lemonade that tastes it’s straight out of the slushie machine.”

The launch of the drink is also a great excuse for them to drop a video Josh Vagne and Jye Kearney doing 90s-inspired Brushie and Kelly Airs at Charlotte’s. Check it out above and get yourself a can or two of Minus 23 in all good bars around the resorts.
