Going hard in Los Angeles.

Red Bull skaters Denny Pham and Vladik Scholz have some business to attend to – Coastal Business, that is. Two cities, two skaters, one mission. Both of these German rippers were asked to film a full-blown video part in two of skateboarding’s major playgrounds.

24 year old Pham knew what to expect when travelling to the West Coast to explore the schoolyards of Los Angeles, supported by fellow skater and friend Jost Arens.

“Los Angeles in three words? Already. Been. Done.”

Not only is California the cradle of skateboarding culture, it’s also well known how hard it is to get clips in a city like Los Angeles. The traffic jams are crazy, the bust factor high and the ABD-lists very long.

Having a local to show you around can be vital. Filmer and editor Russell Houghten, who has recently made waves with his New Balance edits and took first place at The Berrics’ REDIRECT contest offered exactly that.

“Filming with Russell Houghten was an honour for me,” Pham says. “I knew exactly what he’s capable of, and so I was psyched he was our go-to-guy for this part. And to have Arto Saari on board as our photographer gave me such a push.”

Here it is then, Denny Pham in Los Angeles, taking care of Coastal Business in his full edit.
