To skate or to hang… that is the question.

Sure these decks are made with the same integrity and durability as every other Globe skateboard deck, but they’re also works of art… Do they belong on the wall, or should they (in true punk fashion) be carved up on the streets? Either way, there’s no chance I’m missing out on getting me a set of the Globe X Ramones skateboards.

Saluting the New York punk pioneers, who made fighting on stage cool a few decades before Brian Jonestown Massacre, the decks feature a 1976 photo by Bob Gruen of the band playing live at the much-mythologised CBGBs. The primary release is in black and white and, for dedicated collectors, there’s a limited-to-100 silver prism foil available too. Each edition comes in a leather carry case, replicating the band’s iconic look.

Speaking of the Ramones and their connection to the brand, Globe founders Peter and Steven Hill said: “As teenagers in the underground skate scene in the suburbs of Australia, the Ramones were the musical epitome of everything we identified with and were looking to define. Their vinyl was only available on import and was the most coveted acquisition. We would skate all day and listen to their records all night. When they finally made it to tour Australia, we followed the tour and attended every gig and found a whole new dimension to their music when we saw them play live.”
