In sad news for sports fans, former LA Lakers player Kobe Bryant has reportedly died after his private helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California. Bryant, who is considered one of the games’ greatest ever players was travelling with his 13-year-old daughter and three others, all of which have been confirmed dead as well.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were called to a fire in the area at 10am after a fire broke out. It’s been reported that the chopper was on its way to Bryant’s Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks for basketball practice. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that another player and parent were also on the helicopter.
Bryant and Gianna are survived by his wife Vanessa and their three other daughters, Natalia, Bianca and Capri.

It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Kobe Bryant and four others in a helicopter crash in Calabasas. The aircraft went down in a remote field off Las Virgenes around 10:00 this morning. Nobody on the ground was hurt. The FAA and NTSB are investigating.
