NBA Superstar Karl-Anthony Towns’ Mother Has Died From COVID-19

Sad news…

After battling COVID-19 for over a month, Timberwolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns’ mother has passed away due to complications from Coronavirus., announced the Timberwolves on twitter. According to her son, she had been placed in an induced coma in an attempt to better fight the virus, but it seems it wasn’t enough.

Towns’ father Karl Town Sr. also contracted the virus but is said to be doing well while in quarantine.

“The family is devastated by their tremendous loss, and respectfully requests privacy in this time of great mourning,” the Timberwolves said on Twitter.

Continuing on, the team said “That matriarch of the Towns family, she was an incredible source of strength; a fiery, caring and extremely loving person who touched everyone she met.”
