Since dropping back in March, the AVE 2.0 has been one of the most talked about skate shoes in recent history. And there’s a lot to talk about…
The kicks, which were meticulously crafted with legend Anthony Van Engelen, are probably the closest thing to what you would call a true performance skate shoe, marking new territory for both Vans and skating in general.
While the finessing goes on with the knitted upper swapped out for breathable mesh, the list of built-in features is nothing short of impressive.
The mesh up is connected to RapidWeld™ suede and synthetic TPU, with softer heel counters, and added foam around the tongue and collar for increased comfort. The shoe also boasts an advanced UltraCush™ midsole, a TPU support shank, an UltimateWaffle™ traction pattern outsole, and grippy SickStick™ rubber.
Now we have three new colourways: Medium Grey, Bench Green, and Lavender Fog/Black which as you can see from the pics below are already looking very homely on the feet Vans Skateboarding team members Willow Voges Fernandez, Tyson Peterson, Nelly Morville, and Diego Todd.
The Medium Grey and Bench Green will be available from Thursday on www.vans.com.au and in select skateshops around the country, but you’ll have to wait just a little longer for the Lavender Fog/Black colourway which will be coming in August. Stay tuned.
