Catch athletes everywhere rocking these…

Starting our Friday mornings on a note of innovation and progress, Oakley is launching the Oakley® Kato, a new range of eyewear set to change the way athletes perceive and perform in sport.

The new specs are made from a purpose-built design that includes a frameless lens, in conjunction with an extended wrap and built-in retention to mimic what framed eyewear feels like. As a result, the specs hug the face, sitting close upon the contours to create a mask-like feel (a mask for your eyes essentially). And naturally, when paired with the advanced optic technology of the Oakley brand, the new offering provides athletes with the clarity they need to perform at their very best.

In a cool addition as well, a select group of elite athletes including Patrick Mahomes, Mark Cavendish, Nigel Sylvester, and Josef Newgarden helped Oakley during the development phase of the creative process, testing the durability and performance attributes of the glasses and providing feedback along the way. Thus, every inch and aspect of the Keto has had immense thought and time put into it; fully built with the sole purpose of supporting athletes and helping them unlock their untapped potential.

Speaking on the new release, Caio Amato, Oakley Global Brand Director, said “We wake up every morning obsessed with the goal of igniting human possibility. Our pursuit for the new and unimagined has taken on many forms throughout the brand’s history, and the latest is Oakley Kato -a redefinition of aesthetics to usher in a new age of optics for the sports industry.

“Today represents more than just the release of a new product, it is a moment to remind ourselves that anything is possible, that superheroes are not just found in comic books, but in real life, and we can all aspire to be better than we ever imagined.”

The new eyewear is valued at $364.95 AUD and is available at select Aussie retailers and online. You can grab yourself a pair here. For now, check out some more images of the specs below and get keen for the next phase of eyewear.
