Which is basically **how** Rivvia’s ‘UNCOMMON PROJECTS’ collection was born, with Julian Wilson and the team letting 16-year-old surfing phenom Caden Francis lead the concept, co-design the drop, and spearhead the campaign shoot. That would have to be a dream come true for just about every grom in the country, right?
“I really wanted ‘Uncommon Projects’ to be designed around products me and my friends would wear every day. Comfy, modern, baggy fits mixed with fun, retro, washed-in graphics…with a bit of that early-2000s surf and sport vibe,” Caden said. “I’m really proud of how it all came together. It looks and feels real to who we are and how we live.”
So, what is it that the kids are wearing these days?
The collection features Caden’s take on Rivvia boardies and denim shorts, a range of tees and jerseys that pay homage to that early-2000s era, and hats with glitchy tie-dye patterns. Dark blues and browns run strong through the drop, as modelled by Caden and his mates below:

“Seeing Caden take the lead on this project was unreal. He came up with the idea, designed the gear, and executed the campaign and content. For me, that’s exactly what Rivvia Projects is about: giving the next gen space to create. Uncommon Projects is all Caden…and I can’t wait for everyone to see it,” Julian Wilson said of the campaign.
