Some of the world’s best skaters will be hitting Ulladulla Skatepark January 28th.

One of the major issues facing fire-affected communities in NSW, QLD and VIC is how the small businesses and workers will survive financially after the fires, with many having had to close their doors for weeks. Rejuvenating a tourist-heavy economy is no easy task and many people have pledged to visit such areas and spend big.

Thrasher and Volcom have recently announced that they will be hosting a Skater Of The Year Demo at Ulladulla Skatepark, in order to encourage people to visit and spend money in surrounding communities. “Let’s get back into these towns and support local businesses, whether its fuel, cafes, grocery stores or hotels/motels… Together we can make a difference,” a Volcom statement says.

There’ll be no shortage of big names taking time out to attend the event, with Justin Figueroa, Collin Provost, Tom Remillard, Kevin Baekkel, Grant Taylor and more set to turn it on for anyone in attendance.
