Skateboarding’s most recognisable name is heading Down Under for a speaking tour in April.

If you grew up in the 90s/00s, even if you’ve never ridden an actual skateboard, you will undoubtedly be familiar with the name Tony Hawk. He was the first skater to land a 900 in competition, a full-pipe specialist and an all-round loveable character. Equally as important, however, he was also the namesake of the greatest video game (with the greatest soundtrack) ever.

He’s just announced that he will be doing two shows in Australia talking about his career as a professional skater and sharing stories from a life that is hard to fathom for most of us plebs. And that’s not all… He’ll also be joined by BIRDMAN: Or The Unexpected Virtue Of A Tony Hawk Pro Skater Cover Band, who will be pumping out all the THPS classics for your nostalgic pleasure.
