The event is going live at 5AM AEST on Wednesday on Vans’ YouTube and Facebook.

With the tragic death of Jeff Grosso having sent shockwaves around the skateboarding world earlier this month, Vans are doing their best to make sure the work, dedication and passion of the skateboarding legend is not forgotten (as if we ever could). Over the weekend the iconic action sports company announced that they’ll be streaming a virtual memorial for Grosso over Facebook and YouTube.

Moderated by Chris Nieratko, the stream will feature never-before-seen footage and personal video dedications from family and friends. The event will also close with an intimate memorial gathering with respected skate names such as Steve Van Doren, Loveletters to Skateboarding co-creators Rick Charnoski and Buddy Coan, John Lucero, Steve Olson, Steve Alba and Lizzie Armanto.

It’s nice to know that even with social distancing rules and laws that we are able to come together to remember Grosso. RIP.
