Thrift store lord and Vans skater Tyson Peterson lends his design skills to the all-new Wayvee.

Known for his aggressive street style where no rail or ledge is too gritty, too kinky, or too skatestoppper(y), Tyson Peterson has been on our radar for a number of years now. From watching the Florida native, who now lives in LA, in vids such as this Jenkem one and the Raw Files it’s obvious that he’s not only a powerful skater but he also spews personality. It’s that colourful spewing of creativity that Vans have tapped into with their collab, the Wayvee.

The kick features a mixed collage of black, red, yellow and green spread over various materials including a corduroy heel that features Tyson’s signature, which pays homage to his love of corduroy pants. Naturally, there are plenty of practical features here too such as the Vans Duracap for strength and the LuxLiner interior for comfort. In addition to the Wayvee, Tyson curated his own apparel pack featuring everyday pieces like the Off The Wall short sleeve tee, yarn-dyed tee and standard crew fleece in antique white featuring a peace sign and a sketch of his dog, Natty.
