The 24-year-old’s style has been encapsulated by the new kick.

A nod to his unique, hard-to-define style Vans have today unveiled Rowan Zorilla’s pro skate shoe for us mere mortals to feast our eyes on. The kick marks the California-bred skater’s recognition as one of the most interesting and forward-thinking athletes to step onto a board in recent memory and undoubtedly cements his status as one of the most visually compelling riders around.

In clear homage to the late ‘90s/early ‘00s, the shoe not only looks rad but is also highly functional. Here, Vans have incorporated their SickStick – a proprietary gum rubber compound that’s uniquely calibrated in the sole and foxing to deliver enhanced grip and maximum durability, making it the stickiest, grippiest gum sole in the brand’s history. Along with that, the PopCush – a brand-new foam recipe, meticulously tuned for impact protection, superior cushioning, and custom energy return for every type of skating.

Vans have also released a clothing capsule to accompany the kick, which will undoubtedly be catching the attention of skaters and non-skaters globally. The collection includes a tee and jacket with a cool throwback skull/flame graphic designed by Mike Lottie, a double-knee denim V96 Relaxed/RZ utility pant and more.
