Having teased us with a trailer over Instagram a couple of days back, two-time WCT winner John John Florence has unveiled his latest short film, Maps Of Home. Celebrating the waves of the North Pacific, it sees the Hawaiian native take to those familiar breaks and huge swells like a beast and has got us extremely excited to see what he’ll be throwing down at the Margaret River Pro which will hopefully gift us some solid swell when it kicks off tomorrow.
All filmed on the North Shore of Oahu, between January and March 2021. Surfers featured in order of appearance John John Florence, Koa Rothman, Nathan Florence, Jack Robinson, Ivan Florence, Eli Olson and Jamie O’brien.
Filmed by Erik Knutson (Parallel Sea), Maps Of Home features music from Sydney punk outfit The Beefs, The Devil Makes Three and Mr Gnome, as well as some rad graphics and art by former pro surfer Darius Legg. Check out the video below and let John John once again blow your mind.
