Not content with being one of the most successful and admired snowboarders of all time, Japanese athlete Ayumu Hirano has now set his sights on Olympic gold… In skateboarding.

Imagine you were really good at something. Actually, better than good – one of the best to ever do something. Feels awesome right? Now imagine that feeling times two. That’s what it must feel like to be Ayumu Hirano. The humble snowboard champion who has two X-Games golds and two Olympic silvers to his name in half-pipe snowboarding is now looking to recreate his success in skateboarding when the Tokyo games commence this month.

A new documentary made by LWA pal and all-round lord Ryan Neddeau, title Aspire – Inspire offers insight into Ayumu’s path to glory in the pipe and also features plenty of skating as he sharpens his skill set for the games. Check it out below in all its modest brilliance:
