There’s clearly no shortage of waves and good times in the Fijian Islands.

The phrase ‘trip of a lifetime’ is way too overused these days. Seriously, you hear your mates say it after a brief holiday in Europe, or a week in New York, or a journey to the local maccas at 6am (maybe), but looking at the voyage taken by this group of surfers around Fiji, it’s the first words that comes to mind.

With VONU doing the driving (and providing the drinks), Asher Pacey, Jay Button, Tevita Gukilau, Ryan Callinan, Otis Carey and Jarrah Tutton cruised the Lau Islands of Matuku and Kadavu, and the Malolo group consisting of Tavarua and Namotu finding great waves wherever they went. The group, importantly, also took the time to respectfully familiarise themselves with locals and their culture, in what looks like an incredible trip.
