Once again Vans catch a rising star.

There aren’t many more hyped skaters in the world right now than Zion Wright. The Florida-born skater, who’s at the ripe age athletic of 22, broke through to the sport’s mainstream taking out this year’s Dew Tour Park Event despite being ranked 114th in the world and 16th in the US, earning himself a ticket to Tokyo.

“I am so stoked to be a part of the Vans Family,” Zion said. “The fact that they’ve been supporting skateboarding forever and put skating first in everything they do means the world to me.”

How do you celebrate a partnership like this? You drop an edit of Zion doing a 5-0 down a huge stair set, of course. The video below features music played by Mustafa Wright, Zion’s dad, playing sinte drums. Adding an extra layer of depth to the clip, the African word ‘sinte’ is short for SinteKeseka, meaning stability, or “I am not shaken”, which suits Zion’s unwavering presence on the board to a tee, right?
