Drizzy will be playing two shows in New Zealand before kick-starting his Australian leg in Sydney next Tuesday and working his way up and down the East Coast. A few days out from the action, Drizzy took to Instagram to reveal who’ll be joining him in a now-deleted post.
First up, it’ll be Boi-1da, the producer behind early Drake hits like ‘Forever’ and ‘Over,’ as well as later hits like ‘0 to 100’ and ‘Summer Sixteen.’ He’s also been an influential force in hip-hop’s current dancehall obsession, having played with Caribbean sounds on singles like Rihanna’s ‘Work.’
Another producer serves as the second special guest, with Pi’erre Bourne also joining the Boy Meets World tour. Since moving to Atlanta, Georgia and immersing himself in the Southern city’s rap scene in 2014, Bourne has crafted beats for heavy-hitters including Playboi Carti – soundtracking six tracks on his debut mixtape, including the omnipresent hit ‘Magnolia.’
The post also states that they’ll be engaging in a soundclash, so prepare for a battle of rap bangers. While Drake has since deleted the announcement, we’re hoping that Boi-1da and Pi’erre Bourne will still be on the shows – you can see an updated flyer below:
