There are many factors to consider when uploading a quality Instagram post. These include the lighting, the filter, the angle of your image, the timing of the upload and so forth. To maximise your ‘likes’, you should also try and take a picture with a French bulldog or your grandparents every so often, because that’s really, really cute.

Everybody knows that one of the key factors when uploading an image is the caption. Just one or two lines of text can make all the difference, or perhaps you like to speak in the code language of emojis. However, we’ve all been in the predicament of making mistakes in our captions. Did I spell that right? Does using more than five ‘flame’ emojis in a row make me look like a douchebag? Did I hashtag with enough consistency?

Previously, Instagram has only heightened such anxiety by making it impossible to edit captions – your only option was to delete the image altogether. Now, the updated Instagram finally allows you to fix up all the mistakes you made during your social media frenzy.
