MJ didnt give a damn…

It was a rough time for the Bulls in 1997/98, with MJ’s right hand man Scottie Pippen injured for the first 35 games of their championship year, leaving them in the lurch. As a result, party animal Dennis Rodman was forced to step up to prove he deserved his spot on the championship winning team and be there for his teammates when they needed him. To his credit, he did, and proved that he could have MJ’s back just as well as Pippen. Yet, when Pippen returned, Rodman definitely felt undervalued and forgotten about, prompting him to take a mid season vacation to Las Vegas with his girlfriend at the time Carmen Electra.

Rodman managed to get back from Vegas in time but didn’t turn up for any team practices, which forced MJ to pull a total boss move and drag Rodman’s “ass out of bed” with Electra. The Last Dance director actually said MJ dragged him by his nose ring, which had to have been excruciating.

“There’s a knock on the door, it’s Michael Jordan, and I hid,” Electra says. “I didn’t want him to see me like that so I’m hiding behind the couch with covers over me.”

Luckily, Rodman managed to return and help the Bulls win their sixth championship in eight seasons, so the moral of the story is: when in doubt, go to Vegas!
