So many memories.

With the announcement today that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 & 2 will be getting a remaster for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, we couldn’t help but be reminded of the countless hours we spent playing those games as kids. Off the top of my head, I think I still remember where the secret tapes are on most levels, and some of the controls for skater’s special moves are permanently ingrained in there.

But one of the weirdest consequences of sitting on the floor in front of the TV playing THPS until our asses went numb is remembering the soundtracks word for word. Even if you haven’t heard them in a million years, when they come on it’s like your brain reacts straight away and starts humming along – at least, mine does anyway.

So here’s a list of some of our favourite tunes from those early incarnations of the game that made Tony Hawk a household name and ollieing over bums seem cool. Refresh your memory, and get ready for re-release on September 4th:

Goldfinger – ‘Superman’

Anthrax & Public Enemy – ‘Bring The Noise’

Powerman 5000 – ‘When Worlds Collide’

Rage Against The Machine – ‘Guerilla Radio’

Millencolin – ‘No Cigar’

The Ernies – ‘Here & Now’

Papa Roach – ‘Blood Brothers’

Dub Pistols – ‘Cyclone’

Suicidal Tendencies – ‘Cyco Vision’

Primus – ‘Jerry Was A Race Car Driver’
