Cities across America are in proper chaos right now, with looting and vandalism continuing to rise as the intensity of the riots increase. The chaos has seen countless stores, buildings and public areas destroyed as a result, as protesters continue to voice their anger in the aftermath of George Floyds death.
However, one site (or shall we say a group of sites) that haven’t been victim to the destruction is the various Kobe and Gianna Bryant murals around the city of Los Angeles, which have managed to remain untouched during the madness. The city is definitely getting hit hard though, with areas just kilometres from the Staples Center (the arena that Kobe played in for 20 years) getting smashed, burned and sprayed with graffiti.
Kobe’s wife Vanessa took to social media to express her gratitude, posting various murals around the city that have managed to remain unscathed along with love hearts.

People have also threatened violence if any of the murals are in any way touched, with one twitter using saying “tagging over a Kobe mural is asking to catch a 6pc w a side.”
Scary stuff, let’s hope they remain untouched throughout the riots, for Kobe’s family as well as the city’s sake.
