According to reports that we’re hoping with all our hearts are true, Sacha Baron Cohen has reportedly completed Borat 2, and has already started screening it. The film reportedly finds Borat (played by Cohen) thinking he has become a mad movie star after the fame he found following the first film. Thus, like any normal person would, Borat handles this by disguising himself from the public, wearing various outfits and get-ups to conduct his interviews undetected. One report has stated that the film will see ‘Cohen playing Borat playing Cohen’, which just makes so much sense considering the insanity of Sacha Baron Cohen.

The last two years have seen Cohen spotted in Borat garb numerous times, with last month in Los Angeles being the most recent instance. He was even seen in character at a right-wing rally held in Washington in June, which is just a hilarious premise if you imagine Borat in one of those environments. According to rally organiser Matt Marshall, on the day of the rally there was an addition to the musical line-up, with a man believed to be Cohen indeed being the addition in question. According to Marshall, Cohen reportedly stepped onto the stage, wearing a clown suit of red, white and blue, with a fake nose and chin to complete his disguise.

Speaking on the get-up, Marshall said “Obvious disguise. Like a fake nose and chin. And he starts playing and the first thought when you hear his voice is, ‘Dude, is this like a bad impression of Borat?'”

A bad impression of Borat at a right-wing rally is perhaps the most Sacha Baron Cohen thing possible, and I’d be willing to bet it all on that story alone. Here’s hoping we get a trailer or a taste of the new film sometime soon.
