Sit back, take a breath, and get ready to be flooded with the intoxicating aura of young love. The love that gives gorgeous butterflies and makes the heart flutter like none other. It’s a beautiful feeling, and the Central Coast’s BOY SODA has jammed that ecstasy into four luscious minutes in his new video for ‘Daisy Chain’, out today.

The clip sees the 22-year-old bring to life your classic Bonnie and Clyde love story, linking up with the lovely Kansas Walker and visual mastermind Bailey Watts. Except, this Bonnie and Clyde are a thousand times more good looking, fresh and badass than their predecessors. At one point they even steal a Hyundai Elantra together, riding off into the sunset as they escape all the bullshit and disconnection of the real world.

But it’s safe to say the heart of the visual is that mad flower-eating concept, which BOY SODA describes as a “colourful way of telling people that these two people were made for each other. Eating flowers was just my way of saying that we’ve all got weird idiosyncrasies that make us compatible with other people.” The motif really does do justice to all the intricacy and stardust inherent to young love, peppering it with a modern (and floral) flavouring that you just know will never grow old, a seasoning that’s completely authentic and derived from the soul.

Speaking on the meaning behind the Tentendo-produced track, BOY SODA explains “If I say ‘I love you’ – just know I mean it. whatever happens, if we dont talk, if we’re not here one day, I would want you to know that I loved you. That’s who ‘Daisy Chain’ is for – the people in your life that deserve to know you love them.”
