Get ready to be scared…

The creators of the upcoming Silence of the Lambs sequel series Clarice are no doubt hard at work pulling together the first season, COVID throwing a ridiculous spanner in the works of cataclysmic proportions. But that hasn’t stopped the creators from teasing a couple of cheeky plot details, and now they’ve piqued our interest even more.

Executive producer Alex Kurtzman has opened up on the specifics of the show, stressing that it won’t be a procedural but will be along the lines of a single serialised story that follows main character Claris Starling after the events of the first film.

“I’ll tell what we didn’t want it to be. We didn’t want it to be Clarice Starling: The Procedural. We just weren’t going to make that show…. And MGM, who was gracious enough to trust us with the rights to Clarice, had no interest in making that show.”

He also gave us some sneaky details on the first episode, including the title which will be “The Silence Is Over” (goosebumps!).

“The title of the pilot is The Silence Is Over, and that’s actually what we want the outline for the show to be. It’s ‘Clarice Starling is finally speaking’, and she’s exploring lots of new things about herself after the trauma of Buffalo Bill.” Sounds super promising, and it seems like we’re finally gonna get to go into the psychology of Clarice Starling the way we’ve always been wanting to.

The sequel series is set to premiere on CBS later this year. Check out the trailer for the OG film below.
