When they aren’t melting faces on stage, PPC are getting sucked in by the following:

We all know what it’s like to be pulled into an internet wormhole. It can be an uncontrollable ride that takes you places you never even dreamed existed. It’s exciting, scary and ultimately probably not the most healthy thing – kind of like a k-hole. And if there’s one band that have probably experienced their fair share of k-holes, it’s Psychedelic Porn Crumpets.

In fact, the inspiration from their latest mind-boggling, trip of a track, ‘Tally-Ho’ came from “late night gonzo talks on copious amounts of chemical enthusiasm,” according to frontman Jack McEwan. The typically riffy track has got us extremely keen to wrap our ears around SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound, which the band has announced will be available February 5th next year.

I know what you’re thinking – that’s ages away. Well, we have some PPC-endorsed content to help you waste the days away. Below the group share with us the stuff that they are turning to when they aren’t shredding around the globe. Check it:

The Eric Andre Show

Eric Endre is one of the strangest people on the planet, hilarious, eccentric and wildly unpredictable. Performing with Hannibal Buress, both are masters of absurdity, there’s never a comfortable moment. I’ve spent many a hungover day belly laughing at how they come up with their skits. If you’re into post surrealist talk shows then look no further.

Adult Swim – Off The Air

I watched these videos with my housemate till about 4am while we both morphed into another realm on acid. I cannot describe how amazingly stunning the animation is, or accompanying music, both surreal and terrifying, uplifting and beautiful, it’s a trip without taking anything. The animators of this series can die happy, they win the internet, it’s one of mankind’s greatest creations.

All Gas No Brakes

This bloke is kinda like the modern American equivalent to Louis Theroux. Very calm and withheld in his interview style while allowing the unsuspecting random interviewee to make an absolute cock of themselves. It’s always cringey, always ridiculous and makes for a great binge.

Exurb1a

I found this guy quite recently, have no idea who he is but some of his philosophies are gold. Such an odd ball, swears a fuck ton but it makes for some exceptional viewing.

QI

‘Thou shall not question Stephen Fry’ – Dan Le Sac. If you’re an inspiring pub quiz champion then QI is your mantra. I know way too many useless facts because of this programme, it’s so dry and snobberingly upper class at times but that’s why it’s a gem, It’s also your gran’s favourite programme.

The Great War – Indianna Neidell

This might be one of the most amazing feats of mankind, honestly. This series follows WWI in exact detail, week by week of what went on. It literally goes for 4 years. An episode came out every week detailing all the events of what happened each week during the war. It’s insane, great watch if you love your battles.

Later With Jools Holland

This show is a must watch for any music lover. It’s been running for decades and I’ve found so many great bands from this. There’s always a variety of genres performing, every great act has played once. It’s fun diving back into the archives and seeing who’s played.

Glastonbury Sets

In my opinion the best music festival running, the crowds they pull are insane. I’ve always wanted to go as a punter. Next best thing is watching all the well recorded and greatly produced footage that floats about for free on youtube.

Joe Rogan

This bloke is hit and miss with some people but on a good day Joe Rogan is easily the greatest interview host on the planet. It used to be all DMT trips and aliens but more recently he’s been pulling some of the highest profiled people alive. He got Elon Musk to smoke a joint with him! Nuff said.

Zap De Spion

I genuinely feel bad for putting this one in because it’s such a moronic way to spend a day. It’s like a French version of Failarmy but the videos go for half an hour. You’ll laugh for about 3 minutes then will be stuck watching them for hours, slowly having all the life drained from your eye sockets.
