If you were watching ESPN over the weekend, you’d know LaMelo Ball was an absolute gun and a half for the Charlotte Hornets, helping them to mount a huge comeback over the Atlanta Hawks in an 113 – 105 victory. It was quite a momentous win as well, with the youngest of the Ball brothers managing to snag a cheeky NBA record while doing so.
The game saw LaMelo help his team out in a major way, setting up various teammates for buckets and shots the whole night. How many times you ask? Ten. Ten assists in one game, making him the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double in a game.

Overall, Ball scored 22 points, 12 rebounds, and ended up with 11 assists. It’s pretty sick that his 10th assist of the evening is what helped him take the record, with it being only his 10th ever game in the NBA.
In what must suck for Lonzo right now though (well, I’m sure he’s happy for him, but damn this would sting) the record actually used to belong to the oldest Ball brother, who then lost it to Markelle Fultz. Still, no doubt the Ball family must be thrilled, and you can bet this’ll light a fire within Lonzo to make some more records of his own.
