No doubt award shows in a pandemic are strange AF. Forcing stars to trade the banquet tables and red carpets for, well, smaller tables and less extravagant carpets, they’re definitely a big change for the Hollywood elite. And it’s made for some hilarious moments. Moments like Amanda Seyfriend inviting all her fam and friends to a hotel suite, Jeff Daniels appearing to not give a flying fuck from a spare room in his house, and perhaps most importantly, Al Pacino falling asleep while his category was being announced.
Being nominated for his role in Nazi hunting show Hunters, the Scent Of A Woman actor hopped on the Golden Globes Zoom call with fellow actors such as Bob Odenkirk, Jason Bateman, Matthew Rhys and Josh O’Connor. The award went to the latter, and of course, was a huge achievement for old mate. However, its not his win that’s got people talking, but rather Pacino falling asleep while his name was being read out.

Honestly can’t say we blame him, and neither does Twitter it seems, rather celebrating the moment and using it to further evidence the fact that Pacino is just a total badass. But regardless, endless jokes ensued, and they were all hilarious AF (my favourite is “Thinking about Al Pacino clicking ‘Join With Audio’ on the Golden Globes Zoom”).
What a legend. Check out some more of of the hilarity below.
