Maybe it’s flavour, maybe it’s nostalgia.

In case you’ve been living underground in a sewer and missed it, last week iconic dough slingers Pizza Hut announced that they’re collaborating with ViacomCBS and legendary crime-fighting cartoon characters the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Naturally, we had to get our hands on some of these creations which feature a fluro green TMNT Ranch Sauce for drizzling over pizza, wings, and anything else you can imagine.

Our pals at Pizza Hut came through with the goods for lunch on Monday, delivering four piping hot boxes of cheesy (and vegan cheesy) joy to the LWA offices. Prior to this however, we had an in-depth chat about our favourite turtle, which illuminated the fact that there are some weirdos in here (two Donatello’s out of four!). That animated debate was broken up by the arrival of our pizzas which looked every bit as inviting as they do in the pics below…

I mean that last comment. To some the green sauce looked cool, others were scratching their heads wondering if they could handle eating the fluro liquid. Of course, we all did, even if it was in the name of pizza “science”, and the verdict was it was a tasty addition to some already extremely tasty pizzas.

Look, I honestly don’t know what ranch sauce is made of, how it’s made, or where it comes from, but what I can tell you is that it’s equally as delicious as it is mystifying.
