If there’s one (or multiple) roles that immortalised Morgan Freeman in meme culture, it was without a doubt the numerous times he played God. Bare with me here, as this might sound like a huge reach, but the reason he’s so deified and put on such a pedestal nowadays because of how well he embodied the omnipotence and all-knowingness that people associate the idea of a god with (especially that velvet voice like damn). And thus, that description has followed him through the ages, making for some hilarious moments over the years, with Freeman even commenting that “people seem to confuse me with Him” during a commercial for an Israeli air-conditioner manufacturer (because all actors make commercials for Israeli air-conditioners).
It’s now made for another hilarious moment, with Freeman making a vaccine PSA and consequently prompting everyone to make the same joke. Freeman hints at it in the video as well, saying “I’m not a doctor, but I trust science. And I’m told that, for some reason, people trust me. So, here I am to say I trust science and I got the vaccine” And the bottom line? “If you trust me, you’ll get the vaccine.”
Well, now everyone’s making the same Morgan Freeman “voice of God” joke, stating that now everyone HAS to get the vaccine now that old mate Morgan says its so. It’s pretty astonishing how similar all the trolls are, which just goes to show the power of the meme and Morgan’s public adoration.

A statement from Morgan Freeman is basically akin to "from God's lips to my ears," right? https://t.co/Rt8wwTGaXS

At this point, every time I see Morgan Freeman or Betty White trending, I look for this meme to know everything is okay (they are both ok, btw. Morgan Freeman is suggesting people get a vaccine, which I agree with. And he IS the voice of God.) pic.twitter.com/uWb2fdGe9N
