Our dream house…

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is properly treating himself with his latest purchase, copping a crazy California mansion for literal chump change (for him anyway), dropping $27.8 million USD ($36 million AUD) on his new home.

The anything but humble abode sits above Beverly Hills in Beverly Park, one of the most exclusive gated communities in all of Los Angeles. It’s got a pretty cool origin story too, first being built by Alex Van Halen from Van Halen in 1993.

Taking influence from the Mediterranean, the home is literally a complete resort, featuring everything from a tennis court, world-class gym (which will be getting used practically every day), baseball diamond, movie theatre, music studio and an elevator to get around the bloody place. They’ve also got twice as many bathrooms (11) as bedrooms (6), with a separate guest house should the in-laws ever pay a visit.

Sounds like a mega-dent on the wallet, but old mate was the highest paid actor in Hollywood last year, taking home around $113 million USD in a year where the movie industry was totally shut down, so to say he could easily afford it would be a huge understatement.

Thus, you could say we’re just a bit jealous. Check out some pics of The Rock’s new digs below.
