International Women’s Day is less than a fortnight away, and Vans are in the mood for celebrating.

In case you didn’t know (I’ll be honest, I had to double check it) International Women’s Day 2022 is March 8th. It’s the day when we take a beat to salute the achievements of women around the world and acknowledge that there are still many steps that we need to take to achieve gender equality. Champions of creative spirit and pioneers of female empowerment in sports, Vans, are honouring the day with a special drop, aptly titled ‘Divine Energy’.

The collection sees earthy tones, pastels, and creamy whites splashed over iconic Vans silhouettes including the Old Skool, Slip-On and Sk8-Hi, including two styles of children’s kick, one of which features “She Can Be Anything” in glittery lettering. Straying from outdated traditional female colouring, the collection is refreshingly neutral while incorporating the iconic checkerboard pattern.

On top of the drop, which is available worldwide now, Vans will be donating to organisations that uplift and empower women of all ages via the Tides Foundation, up to a maximum of $200,000. Check out the ‘Divine Energy’ collection below and head here to shop it now:
