The wait is over for Falls.
It’s always an exciting day when a festival like Falls, which is up there in the Mt Rushmore of Aussie music festivals, drops a lineup. Having been on hiatus thanks to the virus that we will not name, it feels like this lineup marks something of a comeback for Falls, and it’s clear that organisers have gone above and beyond to remind us why the festival is one of the country’s finest.
There’s no doubt that Arctic Monkeys are this year’s headliner, and with the group heading over here after Reading and Leeds in the UK, it’s safe to assume that they’ll have some new music too. And you can giddyup for the man responsible for one of the biggest hits of the 2000s, Lil Nas X, who’ll be there when Falls hits Birregurra (the sexy new Vic location), Byron and Fremantle.

There’s also a slew of top-tier dance and electronic acts taking the stage including Peggy Gou, Jamie xx, Camelphat, DJ Seinfeld and more on board to dish out the euphoric highs. Local stalwarts and triple j faves DMA’S, Ocean Alley, Spacey Jane and Amyl & The Sniffers will be joined by a powerful bunch of up-and-comers such as King Stingray, Beddy Rays and The Vanns.
