Pharrell has added vibrant new colourways to his collaborative footwear line with adidas, bringing an animal print flair to his latest edition of NMD Hu sneakers. The colourful new range marks a step away from the relatively neutral tones of Pharrell’s previous editions, complete with cheetah spots and blue knitted structuring.
Elsewhere, the ‘Animal Print Blue’ colourway features bright orange outer-soles and neon green rope shoelaces. A member of adidas’ top tier collaborative roster since 2014, Pharrell has released a slew of projects under the three-stripe logo, from refreshed takes on the brand’s classic sneaker styles to his very own batch of NMD Hu’s and beyond.
The musician and designer follows a similar footwear trajectory to that of fellow rapper Kanye West, who’s wildly-popular Yeezy range was also produced in collaboration with adidas. The new colourway for Pharrell’s Adidas NMD Hu sneakers is set to hit select stores this weekend, and go for around $316 AUD.
