Kanye West’s Yeezy label has taken to Instagram to share images of what seems to be the third instalment of the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collab. Ye first announced the three-way collaboration earlier this year after last year forging a partnership with Gap, with the collection dropping two releases since May.
The new instalment, which enlists creative direction from Betsy Johnson and photography from Kristina Nagel (who have both previously been linked to Demna Gvasalia and Balenciaga),
continues the monochromatic, industrial aesthetic of the previous two drops, honing in on exaggerated, hazmat-esque silhouettes.
“Kanye already anticipating the clothes we’ll be wearing at [the] apocalypse,” one user wrote in response to the designs.
It comes only two days after Ye called out Gap for supposedly copying his designs from the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection, claiming that the clothing brand held a meeting without him and cancelled a photo shoot with his kids in Japan without telling him.
Never far from controversy, Ye also recently copped flack for selling the previous Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga release out of trash bags at Gap stores across the US. Check out the first taste of the new collection below.
