The film sees a femme fatale Eilish meet her clone.

The new face of Gucci’s latest eyewear campaign is none other than pop superstar Billie Eilish. Eilish is no stranger to the fashion house, often wearing the label at shows or on the red carpet. 

In the short, which is very Bond-meets-Tarantino with a splash of David Lynch, Eilish drives through The Hills of Los Angeles in a no-holds-barred bright pink vintage car. Clearly being spied on, Eilish’s scenic drive is accompanied by suspenseful orchestral music. Finally, she pulls up at a quintessential Hollywood lookout point, only to meet…herself.

According to Gucci, the film plays on the idea that cars are “symbolic extensions of those who drive them, revealing their intentions, motivations, and personality”. Shot by London director Harley Weir, with Gucci’s ​​Alessandro Michele on board as creative director and Be Good Studios’ Lina Kutsovskaya in art director duties, the film is eye-wateringly cinematic.

It’s the latest in a series of Gucci visuals which take their cues from cinema, with the fashion house last month releasing a campaign that recreated iconic scenes from Stanley Kubrick movies. Check out the Billie Eilish x Gucci campaign for yourself below.
