Kanye West and his tumultuous relationships with fashion brands have been well documented over the years, the Chicago MC having feuded with the likes of adidas, Louis Vuitton and most recently, The Gap. His beef with Nike precedes them all, however, with the rapper departing the sportswear brand almost a decade ago in a highly publicised falling out over royalties.
Since then, we’ve gotten sneak peaks of the various products he was designing for them, but his Donda-themed Air Jordan 6s might be the most personal of them all.
Named after his Ye’s late mother, Donda West, the rare kicks feature roses heavily in their construction, with red colorways and and graphics of the flower embedded throughout the overlays, tongue, heels and toe boxes. Kanye’s music is also incorporated into the shoes, with lyrics from his song ‘Roses’ imbued on the insoles.

Overall, there are six known pairs of the Jordans in existence, with NYC’s Christies slinging off a size 12 in their next auction. There’s no telling how much they could fetch, but considering a limited edition pair of Yeezy’s sold for nearly $2 million USD ($3.1 million AUD) just last year, we’re guessing the kicks will rake in a small fortune.
