Okay how is he still jacked at 75…

In between his countless Terminator reboots and political campaigns, veteran action star Arnold Schwarzenegger is now getting his own Netflix doco. Titled Arnold (I would’ve preferred “I’ll Be Back”), the three-part series is set to follow Schwarzenegger’s life from top to bottom, starting with his early life and bodybuilding debut and ending with his political career. And yes, his acclaimed acting career is set to get its own moment to hide as well, with the actor dishing on his Terminator success and the countless detractors who doubted his Hollywood ambitions.

The trailer for the series features an older (but still jacked) Schwarzenegger narrating his life amongst re-enactments, archival footage and interviews. It’s your typical biographical cheese fest that Netflix has become the go-to streamer for, except, old mate Arnie seems to be trying his hand at larger-than-life motivational speaking this time around, with the 75-year-old dropping countless inspirational quotes that you just know will be made into a YouTube montage at some point. A highlight comes during his death staring the audience as he dramatically urges them to “Work your ass off. Do it!” And if that’s not enough, there’s also a hilarious shot of him cycling through the streets of New York with no-one recognising him, because seeing the Terminator biking down the street is apparently a totally normal occurrence in the Big Apple

In an interesting twist, it seems the Total Recall actor will also talk about his infamous affair with his housekeeper, Maria Shriver, and the subsequent effect the scandal had on his personal life. Longtime followers of Schwarzenegger will know that he has addressed the affair in over the years, however, there seems to be less moral posturing and dancing around it on Arnie’s part in the Netflix doco (I guess time heals all wounds, right?). Arnold hits Netflix on June 7th.
