Sink Or Swim takes Beach Brains in an entirely new direction.

We’ve been admirers of Aotearoa label Beach Brains for quite a while now. From all the way down towards the bottom of the planet, they’ve always punched upwards, seemingly unattached to the trends of the minute, while somehow at the forefront of them.

Their Sink Or Swim AW25 Collection sees them once again take a blowtorch to the style of yesterday and offer a new path forward, albeit a dark and brooding one…

Holding up a mirror to society, the collection channels post-punk motifs — oversized leather, collars and ties — as a nod to individualism in the face of chaos. It’s about finding comfort in dark times and seeking individuality in an imperfect and, at times, complex world.

This is embodied by frayed edges and muted colourways that create a textural depth that draws us in, giving off an introspective modality.
