Yeah, well now Vans are bringing back the pearls and adorning the Old Skool 36 with them for an upcoming drop that we’re predicting will be in extremely high demand.
Coming in two colourways – Marshmallow and Fuchsia – the shoes are the perfect blend of new and old. The Old Skool 36 was the second-ever skate shoe that Vans released, dropping nearly 50 years ago in 1977, and also the first to ever have the iconic sidestripe. They’ve emphasised this with the distressed upper that makes the shoes look lived-in, like they’ve seen some shit.
It balances nicely with the pearls and crystals, higher-glossed sidewall and detailed stitching, creating this old-world-meets-new-world feel to the shoes that is extremely clean.
The Pearlised Old Skool 36 drops November 19th on vans.com.au. Make sure you set a reminder to lock in a pair for yourself.
