Yesterday the legendary Aussie hat company planted their flag in the sands of our most iconic beach.

Who’d of thought that there were so many cowboys and cowgals in Bondi? Not us! But yesterday the Eastern Suburbs crew turned out in droves for Akubra’s Bush To Beach Takeover.

The Rough Rider x INEOS Grenadier mobile store pulled serious attention, parked just metres from the sand along with a mechanical bull that remained undefeated over the course of the day.

Shimmy Disco kept the whole morning moving, soundtracking fittings, try-ons and the steady stream of locals discovering their new favourite brim. First-timers got properly sized up, seasoned Akubra heads compared colours, and more than a few punters walked off with a brand-new crown.

If you missed the Bondi takeover, don’t stress – Byron Bay is up next on Sunday 30th November from 9am. Bush to Beach is just starting to heat up
