Feels like a while since we’ve written something about Creed McTaggart surfing…

The last few times we’ve featured him, it’s been his music Cheap Gloomer that we’ve been honing in on, so forgive us for temporarily forgetting he’s one of the most powerful and exciting surfers in the world. Anyway, that’s what we’re talking about today – the new video and range from McTaggart and Billabong, Big Time.

The short film, which was shot by Toby Cregan, follows McTaggart on a trip through Bali and Lakey’s, mixing heavy sessions with a tongue-in-cheek look at chasing “the big time” and the strange emptiness that can come with it.

“We are living in the Big Time; chasing a dream, glitz and glamour, popping off at the tippy-top with and a cocktail in-hand – luxury, cash, fame and fortune. The Big Time is for all of us, a menagerie of clothes to feel elite, proud and loud in. You’ve made it, you’ve hit the ceiling, the roof has run away in fear. Unstoppable,” Creed said of the release.

The collection feels like it’s in part come straight from McTaggart’s own canvases – it’s abstract but also gothic in all the right places. You can even have a bit of him in your pants with the boxer set… Check out some pieces from the Big Time range below and head here to shop it now!
