When we spoke to The Babe Rainbow last week, they said they were pumped for this show… and they weren’t lying.

We caught up with frontman Angus Dowling ahead of the band’s Surf & Sound Festival appearance, chatting about everything from roller-skating disasters at Splendour to recording music on a boat in Amsterdam. And while the conversation went in plenty of weird and wonderful directions, one thing was clear: the boys were pretty bloody excited to get back on stage.

Fast-forward to last night at Felons in Manly, and Babe Rainbow delivered exactly what we’d hoped for. A healthy dose of psychedelic grooves, sun-drenched tunes and the kind of laid-back energy that makes you forget what day of the week it is.
