Manly’s really starting to feel like home…

We’ve spent so much time there during Surf & Sound Festival, watching live music, absorbing art and stuffing our faces, that we’re a few nights (or drinks) away from getting 2095 tattooed on our foreheads. Last night was an absolute ripper too, with indie (and sometimes mariachi) rockers Skegss taking to the stage alongside Rich Penny on the decks.

And if there’s one thing we’ve learnt over the years, it’s that Skegss know how to get a crowd moving. The Byron Bay boys brought their usual mix of loose energy, singalongs and bloody good guitar tunes to Manly, The Blamers blew minds with their high energy and epic tunes, while Rich Penny kept the good times rolling with a DJ set of his own.

It’s been pretty special seeing Manly come alive over the past few weeks, with Surf & Sound bringing together some of our favourite Australian acts, local legends and a whole lot of people who clearly don’t have anywhere to be the next morning.

We’re starting to think the 2095 tattoo might not be such a bad idea after all. Babe Rainbow up tomorrow night! Check out the full gallery above!
