The 2013 edition of Unknown Festival in Croatia featured Disclosure, Jessie Ware, SBTRK and Jamie Xx... jealousy enduing, sure, but 2016’s festival is set to take place… on it’s very own island. Dance music is literally taking over the world.

Sound Channel, the company that promotes Croatia’s Unknown Festival, bought an a little heard of island off the Dalmation Coast named Obonjan. They hope to turn into the ideal party destination that is the serves as the point of convergence for not only music and art, but culture, philosophy, literature, and a whole lot more, the companies director Dan Blackledge says:

“We’ve been working on this project for three years which has given us time to carefully refine our ideas, our vision for the island of Obonjan is to regenerate the island and turn it into a truly unique concept, combining art and music, wellness, sustainable living, amazing food and drink and fun and creative accommodation, all on an idyllic island paradise.”

We’re not sure how much an island retails for these days, but you can guarantee it’ll be worth saving your money for the festival’s entire island take over if the recap video from last year’s event is anything to go by:
