Now that the dust has settled surrounding the 2015 finals and the 15/16 season draft pick, NBA fans around the globe are faced with a 3 month waiting period until anything remotely related to basketball happens again.

The next three months of scarce coverage is usually a tough and dark time for die-hard NBA fans as the only real league related news is usually centred on which player can out do the next by buying jewellery that amasses to the sum total of a 3rd world nations annual GDP.

If you put yourself in the above category, no need to fear, we have a cure. Feast your eyes on the video below, featuring a boy who is set to dominate the NBA in years to come, Ben Simmons, Australia’s very own.

If you’re still a little cooked from last nights sesh with the lads and think you might be hallucinating, we can assure you you’re not. At 6’10”, the Melbourne born prodigy has the handles of a PG, the inside finesse of PF and the strength of a centre. Recently he exhibited all of these attributes at the Nike Basketball Academy where he faced up against the likes of James Harden, Kevin Durant and even attended a yoga class hosted by King LBJ.

The 18 year old has already been tearing apart competition in the States where he is currently attending the Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. Set to join Louisiana State University to compete in the NCAA 2015-2016 season, there is no doubt in our minds, he’ll kill it from the get go.

The LSU tigers are super excited to have secured a prospect like Simmons, especially one whom NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal gave a public shout out to on IG:

Lsu just signed the best player in the world check him out

From the looks of his Twitter and IG account, Ben is no loser in the social media game either. Uploading photos of himself D’ing up Harden and posing alongside LBJ, Durant and Kyrie.

So, if you’re feeling a little down about having to wait a few months to see any proper good ball games, stop stressing, and start fan girling over big Ben Simmons, a name not to be forgotten.
